I have been in the areas of Brand Management, PR & Media Relations, Marketing & Strategic Communications since 1995, with the first part of this period spent in the tourism industry (Destination Marketing) before I enlarged my focus to cover the broader area of Brand Reputation Management consulting in a variety of sectors.
My expertise has been applied in these sectors: transport (Bus Rapid Transit and urban commuter rail transport), nuclear energy, oil & gas, facilities management, Development Finance, Lifestyle, travel and hospitality, high-end retail and, and military equipment. My specialties are Brand Reputation Management Strategies; PR & Media Relations; Strategic Communications & Marketing; Stakeholder Engagement Strategies.
I’ve also been invited to speak at seminars and conferences in places like South Africa, Zambia, Russia, Switzerland, Armenia, and India.
My latest projects, the Africa Brand Summit keep me bountifully busy.
Being a Reputation Management lecturer on the Online Campus of the EU Business School, Top Business School in Europe, also keeps me handsomely occupied.
Tshepo Matseba
MANAGING DIRECTOR: REPUTATION 1ST GROUP
Reputation 1st Group is led by Tshepo Matseba APR*, a seasoned Marketing and communication Director. He is the former President of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA). Tshepo was the Head of Marketing and Communication at Old Mutual Insure and earlier on at Liberty. Prior to this, he was the Head of Marketing & Communication at Discovery.
Tshepo has over 17 years expertise across marketing communications, he served in a range of industries including higher education, financial services, telecommunications, and information communication technology (ICT) in Africa and the Middle East for a number of brands including Huawei, Momentum, MTN and UNISA’s Graduate School of Business Leadership.
He holds the APR (Accredited in Public Relations) status, which is internationally recognised in the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia through by the Global Alliance of Public Relations and Communication Management Associations (GA). He is also accredited as MCIPR (Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations), UK.
Tshepo is the chairman of the judging panel for the Brand Summit Africa and Awards, and Non-Executive Director at the Institute of People Management (IPM).
Jessica Jones
PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR / ASSISTANT
Jessica comes armed with courses in PR , Project Management, Business Management. and Entrepreneurship.
She’s also handles company administrator functions for a prominent Pick n Pay Family Store.
Jessica has also played a key project coordination role for the Africa Brand Summit, also a DonValley offshoot.
